State Bank of India Officers' Association (Kerala Circle)
The State Bank of India Officers' Association (Kerala Circle) is the only collective bargaining body of over Five Thousand seven Hundred Officers working in the State Bank of India Thiruvananthapuram Circle, which spread across State of Kerala and the Union Territories of Mahe & Lakshadweep Islands.
The primary objective of SBIOA (KC) is to look after the welfare of its members. It unites all Officers working in the Circle under one roof for collective bargaining purpose and to secure its members and to provide them better service conditions and fair working environment. It is also committed to redressing the grievances of the members and improving their quality of life economically socially and culturally.
The State Bank of India Officers' Association (Kerala Circle) was formed in the 2000 with the formation of SBI Kerala Circle, which subsequently renamed as Thiruvananthapuram Circle. It was inaugurated on 25th October 2000 by Shri. Shantha Raju, the then General Secretary of All India State Bank Officers' Federation and President of All India Bank Officers' Confederation.
Post-acquisition of Associate Banks by State Bank of India in 2017, Associate Bank Officers’ Association unit SBT merged with SBIOA (KC) in our Circle thus making it the largest organistaion for supervisory cadre in Banking Industry of Kerala. SBIOA (KC) conducted its 1st General Council Meeting in Feb 2002. The 9th Executive Committee of SBIOA (KC) assumed charge on 1st August 2022 and the 8th General Council Meeting was held at Thiruvananthapuram on 16th October 2022.
